On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, polls will be open from 6:30 AM through 7:30 PM for registered Pepper Pike voters to cast ballots on two issues. Please consult the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections' website here for more information. For easy reference:
See a sample ballot here.
Find your polling station here.
View timeline for voting (including absentee) and other 8/3/10 election information here.
Please note: if your polling station is usually Garfield Memorial Church, you will need to go to the Pepper Pike Fire Station to vote due to summer activities at the Church.
Also: If you asked for and received an absentee ballot to mail in, and you did not mail it in and you do not intend to mail it in, you CAN still vote on election day. In the past, what voters have done is use a provisional ballot on election day. The BOE then checks all provisional ballots and counts or discounts them by ten days after the election day. Much to his chagrin and chiding by me, it was through provisional votes that I ended up coming in third in the 11/09 vote count, ahead of Rick Taft, rather than in fourth (which is where my vote count stood at the end of election day).
Every vote really does count.
