PLEASE ATTEND PEPPER PIKE TOWN HALL on FINANCES, TONIGHT or MAY 4, 2010

The City of Pepper Pike sent out the following communication to all residents:

Date: April 22, 2010

To: All Pepper Pike Residents

The Mayor’s February 17th letter to all residents spelled out the dramatic contraction in our revenue stream for 2009, and the various steps the City has undertaken to address that situation.    Included in those steps was the convening of a Long Range Strategic Planning Committee to advise us on a sound course forward.

One of the Committee recommendations was to consider placing before the voters a levy on the August ballot.  Council is currently examining this issue and now we need to more fully explain the reasoning behind such a proposed levy.

Therefore we have scheduled two public meetings:   Wednesday, April 28th, at 7:30 pm and Tuesday, May 4th at 7:30 pm, both at Moreland Hills Elementary School, to lay out what steps we have taken so far, to bring residents up to date, and to answer any questions you may have.  Also, we will report on other recommendations of the Long Range Strategic Planning committee.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact Mayor Akers or any member of Council with any comments, questions or suggestions you may have.

You can see Moreland Hills Elementary School as the brown building in the upper left-of-center building in the map at this web page.
